It’s OK to admit negative feelings.

Many of our children this year have found it difficult to admit when they have negative feelings. We spent a class discussing true feelings, in a way that does not blame anyone. They learned to state what causes them to feel uncomfortable or upset.

The course of the world has affected our children, and our lives to the point that we all desperately want our children to be happy. If handled improperly, can make the children feel broken for having bad feelings. They are not sure how to show the feelings, or to express themselves. This leads to struggles within themselves and with others that can be avoided.

In our Social Emotional Lessons I hope to guide the children through this complex maze. They will understand how to find the way for themselves, and how to help others.

Then in class the children placed those feelings onto sticky notes.
