We have had some fun this week with April fools Day, & Aily’s birthday. But let’s not stop.
Qing Ming
This weekend is Qing Ming Festival, and in that spirit Is this it would be great if you could tell everyone a nice story about you family.
Education.com
If you are having difficulty with the Education.com work, It have put a few videos in the “Education.com” folder to help learn about Root work and Similies. I will and more this weekend.
RAZ & SAZ kids
Don’t for get to read at least 5 RAZ books, & 1 recording this week. One RAZ quiz (the questons after a book) are needed too. I also would like 1 SAZ (Science) book read and finish the Science worksheet.
Thank you all for the amazing jokes yesterday. I laughed a lot.
Today please do a couple of things.
Vocabulary work
Please download and complete the vocabulary worksheet from the class Weiyun.
I would also like you to do one of the vocabulary practices that are linked on this Website on the post just before. Then send me a picture of the completed work. (You can do the crossword, wordsearch or vocabuzz games if you like)
Science
Please send me the weekly picture of your plants.
Please if you did not watch the video last work, do so. It is in the “Science” folder on the Weiyun.
Once you have watched the video fill in the worksheet in the Science Folder.
Some students that cannot get into education.com are not seeing the grammar lessons on that website. I will poste them over this week on my Youku account. But you may access them here.
Since it is the Anti-bullying month in the APS. I am assigning you to watch the Stop Bullying now videos. You may watch any that you wish.
After you have watched, I want you to choose 1 character from the video and write to them a letter. Give them advice about how to handle their problems.
Let’s start the week off with some Raz-Kids announcements. Please congratulate the following students:
George Wang reached Level M reading
Kevin Zheng reached Level M reading
Gordon Zhang had 4 perfect Raz-Quizes
Farrel Chen had 4 perfect Raz-Quizes
Good work to these four, and to all of you that have been keeping up with your daily reading.
On Friday we had a quiz, which most of you did amazingly well with. If you didn’t do as well as you could, fear not; You are able to retake the quiz as a digital quiz this week. (Only digital quiz, no printable for tests, sorry.) Click here to visit the test website
But there is a catch. The maximum score you can get will be 75% (75 in the grammar quiz, or 15 in the vocabulary quiz). Your username and password are printed on your Weekly Report.
Education.com
Education.com work will appear as assigned at 7:00 Monday mornings and disappear (as in is due before) Saturday morning. This is so that all of us finish our work directly the weekdays, and can relax with our families on the weekends. It will also include 1 science activity.
Raz-Kids
Please remember to read 1 story everyday, and record 1 for me. This week I want you all to watch the photosynthesis video on Science A~Z.
Due dates
Any work sent in after 5:00 Friday will not be marked until Monday, and so will not be on that week’s report. I need family time too.
Monday’s Work
Today please read the new Wimpy Kid Selection. Answer the questions and familiarize yourself with the vocabulary.
Today is our Quiz, and like all other activities, you have the choice of printable, or online. The online is easier for us in the long run, because I will be able to organize he scores and mark them faster there, but a lot of families are requesting printable.
If you chose the online, please follow the link here: Classmarker.com
